Also a most loved treat, this Filipino cookie is known as a sister of Sans Rival and a cousin of the French macaron. The base ingredient is an egg white meringue. Similar to Sans Rival, it is folded with powdered nuts instead of almond flour. Like the Sans Rival, French buttercream frosting is used sandwiched in between two layers of exquisite meringue and dipped on butter-based crackers and finely chopped nuts. It is best served as frozen. Yum!

These can be customised on colour, flavour and can come in an assortment of nuts.
